The exhibition, MONUMENTAL, “explores our perception of size and scale when viewing a work of art by manipulating the environment in which it is presented for viewing.” Each art work in the show is originally no more than 16 inches. In the manipulated environment of the gallery online, each photo is enlarged to about 120 inches. The questions this exhibition asks are: “Does our appreciation and understanding of a work of art change based on how big or small we perceive it to be? Does scale affect how “important” we presume the art to be? “
